The rank of Sith Master is not an easy rank to achieve. It requires years of experience and a vast knowledge of the Force. Exceptional students may achieve the feat in comparatively short time-spans, but one should not expect to achieve Mastery in less than five years. Most students require ten or more years. It is as a Sith Master that the student may finally don the mantle of Darth. As a Master, they are given the opportunity to take on pupils of their own. As with the rank of Dark Lord, only the Grand Master may bestow the rank of Master upon a student.
