The EWCRP or known as the Emergency Wartime Carrier Reactivation Plan is a protocol set forth by the Democratic Republic Navy that any carrier built 1960-onwards must be kept in a serviceable condition and be ready within 1-6 months of reactivation.

History[]

The Democratic Republic Navy during the late 50's of the Cold War begin to retire many of it's 1940 carriers built during WW2 and replace them with a more modern carrier class. DRN Brass at the time, devised a plan during the late 50's for any carrier coming into service circa 1960 would be put under the Emergency Wartime Carrier Reactivation Plan this plan set forth that as carriers were gradually phased out of service and replaced, they would be maintained in a serviceable condition, should the Democratic Republic Navy need more carriers during war time. Of the 17 Carriers built during the 60's-70's, 7 of them were reactivated under the EWCRP during the early 2000's and later on 24 Carriers were reactivated during the 2050's. There was also two similar protocols the DRN issued, they were known as the Emergency Wartime Battleship Reactivation Plan and the Emergency Wartime Battlecruiser Reactivation Plan Both of these protocols are still in effect just as is EWCRP. It is interesting to note that EWBCRP was never used due to the fact that the last Battlecruiser to come into service was the mid 50's and thus none of them were modernized.
