The Imperial Armory Corporation C-14 is a fully automatic gauss rifle introduced in 7 NE. It is designed specifically for use with the IAC Powered Combat Suit and is therefor employed exclusively by Holy Imperial Military armored infantry units.
The C-14 uses electromagnetic coils to accelerate 8mm rounds up to 3,050 m/s (10,006.56 ft/s). It can be fired precisely up to 900 meters and effectively up to 1,450 meters, in semi-automatic, three-round burst, and fully automatic modes. The C-14 has an adjustable rate of fire of up to 30 rounds per second and features LED ammunition and power indicators, and can interface with an IAC Powered Combat Suit to add these indicators to the heads-up display. Standard magazines hold 200 rounds, and extended 400-round magazines are available. Power is supplied through disposable batteries attached to the magazine or through an IAC Powered Combat Suit, allowing the use of battery-less 250 and 500 round magazines. The C-14 weighs 17 kg (37.5 lb) and costs approximately $1500 per unit.
